Bébour-Bélouve

Welcome to the forest Bébour-Bélouve, the Disneyland of hiking enthusiasts. Every trail here is a new adventure, with giant tree ferns that make it feel like you're in Jurassic Park. Don't worry, dinosaurs aren't here.

For children, it's an opportunity to play explorers.

Takamaka Waterfall: Where the water falls faster than your children run

If you like waterfalls, the waterfall Takamaka is a must. Imagine a spectacular waterfall, surrounded by lush vegetation.

Otherwise near the town of Saint-Benoît, thrill-seekers can try their hand at canyoning. There's nothing like abseiling down waterfalls to bond family ties (or to scream like never before wondering why you paid for that). The most cautious can be satisfied with picnic at the water's edge and watching others try their luck.

Hell-Bourg

Hell-Bourg, Ranked among the most beautiful villages in France, the village offers a dive into the past with its colorful houses and flower gardens. Children will love playing hide and seek in the narrow streets, while parents can relax with a delicious local brew (translation: rum).
Bonus: there are daily activities for the whole family (Escape Game, visit to Creole huts..).

Hindu Temples: Because your children deserve to see an elephant… in statue

Direction Saint-André for a visit to temple of the Colossus. This Hindu temple is a true masterpiece of colors and sculptures. Children will be fascinated by the elephant statues and exuberant decorations.

You also have the opportunity to visit the Temple Maryen Perumal in Saint-André. Click the link below… and follow the guide.

L'Anse des Cascades: Where your children can be mermaids (or pirates)

Even if the East of Reunion is better known for its mountains, theCascades Cove is a hidden gem. Located on the coast of Sainte-Rose with its coconut trees and waterfalls, it is the perfect place for a relaxing day with the family.
For picnic or a simple walk, you will be delighted with your time with your family.

Take the opportunity to stop at Restaurant l'Anse des Cascades, to discover their Creole and mixed cuisine.

Creole Cuisine

Holidays in Reunion would not be complete without an introduction to Creole cuisine. Prepare your taste buds. Kids will love samosas and chili candies (but bring water nearby).
Local markets, such as that of St. Benedict, are perfect for discovering exotic fruits and spices. Parents can buy edible souvenirs, while children can taste fruits they've never seen anywhere else (and make memorable faces).
