A colorful religion to discover during this immersion in Tamil culture!


This experience is an invitation to understand the traditions, symbols, and rituals that punctuate the daily lives of many Reunion Island families. It's also an opportunity to share a moment of sharing in a place steeped in spirituality.

In order to allow as many people as possible to benefit from the riches of this religion, we offer you a journey into the lights of Reunion Island India.

Guided tour of a Hindu temple in Saint-André by Balou

In the programme :

  • Traditional musical welcome at the temple (sacred drums);
  • Lighting the lamp;
  • Placement of tika on the forehead;
  • Guided tour of the Maryen Péroumal temple ;
  • Indian pastry making workshop;
  • Henna application;
  • Flower necklace creation workshop;
  • Demonstration and installation of a traditional outfit (saree and vesthi);
  • Making drums;
  • Screening of a mini-film on firewalking/cavadee;
  • Not forgetting the typical Indian (vegan) lunch on the temple grounds.

This day is a sensory and cultural journey, between music, perfumes, rituals and traditional know-how.
A unique moment to open up to a living culture, proudly passed down from generation to generation.
