Gîte de Bélouve

The Bélouve gite in Salazie offers 28 dormitory places.
The area includes a picnic area with kiosk and orientation table offering a panoramic view of the Cirque de Salazie, a grassy camping area and the tamarind museum. The car park is 400 m from the gîte.
The lodge is the starting point for several hikes: Trou de Fer, trail of the Virgin, trail of Tamarins and trail of Piton des Neiges via Cap Anglais. The discovery of the Hauts de l'Est humid forest is also of major interest.
Possibility of meals on reservation 48 hours before.
Picnic basket, breakfast and dinner by reservation.
Information: The Bélouve forest is accessible to all! It has become the first natural center accessible to all audiences. Through this innovative approach, the site now offers a forest trail, the Somin Tamarin, accessible to people with reduced mobility and the visually impaired.
The museum area in a building to the left of the gîte traces the history of the “Paul Charly” forest cable car.
The museum can be visited alone and free of charge, it is open every day from 9 a.m. to 16 p.m. except Wednesday.
Audio guides are available on request from the gite manager.
Bath towels are not provided.
