Your itinerary
Step 1: Departure
From the car park, the departure is at the belvedere. You have a view of the Piton de la Fournaise.
Step 2: Direction Nez Coupe
Take the path along the Caldera of the "enclos Fouqué" crater on your left.
The entrance to the enclosure is marked by a gate, which will be open or closed depending on the activity of the volcano.
Continue straight, direction Piton Partage and Nez Coupé Sainte-Rose.
Stage 3: Piton Sharing
You arrive at the Piton Partage viewpoint. It is here that the public comes to admire the spectacle of the lava flow from the northern flank of the Piton de la Fournaise.
This first part of the trail is rather easy and flat.
Step 4: Nose Cut
You have arrived at Nez coupé at an altitude of 2 m. This is an opportunity to land and admire the view of the Plaine des Fougères and the large slopes of the volcano.
Once rested, you can turn back and go back down to the parking lot.
