Bassin Mangue is located in the bed of the Rivière des Marsouins, one of the few rivers on the island where rafting is possible.

Despite the ease of access, this very enchanting site is not well known to tourists and is mostly frequented by locals.

Only a few minutes from the main roads, you will discover a small peaceful place where it is good to walk and picnic with the family… the setting is idyllic.

In the shade of the feet of litchis and mango trees, enjoy the sweet song of the birds and the sound of the trade winds making the huge bamboo creak around you, all to the rhythm of the sound of the river which flows tirelessly a few meters away.

During the season, you will be able to collect a few mangoes freshly fallen into the basin from the mango trees overlooking the river.

Also note that you are near Bras Canot, a region of the island known for having the best litchis in Reunion! Indeed, Bras Canot litchis are renowned for their suave and sweet flesh, and their very small kernel.
