LES BAMBOUS is a stage under agreement of national interest, "art and creation", whose primary mission is to make the public discover not what they like, but what they could like.
After a recent renovation, LES BAMBOUS has kept its soul almost unchanged, its room refreshed, workshops for construction and storage of sets closer to the stage, offices which join the heart of the theater, as close as possible to creation... Only the walls have changed.

The foyer, called La Grenouille point Bar, is spacious and still offers visual artists a place for exhibition and proposals, as offered by Le Barenkouleur.
The restoration is always done before and after the shows, at the point Bar and the public still shares the artists' table.
The program concocted each year is rich and varied, fundamentally contemporary, while remaining attentive to what constitutes its basis: discovery of authors, privileged relationship with the Benedictine public and the island. Les saisons des Bambous favor creation without denying the repertoire and pursue transversal cultural actions of training, education in schools, awareness-raising and regional, national and even international influence.
Following its specifications as closely as possible, LES BAMBOUS declines its programming between:
* 3 to 4 creations/year, in a series of 7 to 9 performances staggered at different times, making it possible to accommodate all possible audiences, at more than reasonable prices,
* Welcoming in residence of shows, authors,
* Short-term broadcasts nevertheless accompanied by workshop and awareness-raising modules,
* An opening to amateur theatre, stage lovers,
* The young public festival: "Once upon a time... the holidays!" The journeys of those who remain", in July,
* It's called Come Back! an anthology of short forms in theater, music, circus, dance and cinema over three weeks during the southern winter holidays.
* Free Bamboos, songs and mood music.
For the next two seasons, (2021-2022) and in projection of a decommissioned daily life, Les Bambous has decided to host a swarm of artists whose objective will be to scatter in various places of the program, in order to meet the public differently, somewhere, elsewhere, in a desire to cheer it up, to encourage it to maintain the ambition to embrace the world after.
