Explore the lava tubes in Ste-Rose

We strongly advise you to go to Sainte-rose to discover the 2004 casting of the Piton de la Fournaise, which is the most popular. And for good reason, you can discover the largest known lava tunnel on the island. You will venture, like a good self-respecting speleologist, into the depths of the volcano, where stalagmites have formed. The spectacle offered in these cavities is incredible. Accompanied by a professional guide, you will benefit from a visit rich in information. And most importantly, you will travel through the tunnels in complete safety. Rafting on Coco Island
Thrill-seeker? We recommend rafting, an activity to do at the Rivière des Marsouins. The journey begins as soon as we take the road towards Coco islet, St. Benedict, since it is lined with numerous “plants” of lychees (trees in Creole). Arriving there, you will set off on an incredible adventure, either aboard a Kayak (1 seat), or in a cano-raft of up to two seats, light and manageable, or in a rafting, an extremely stable inflatable boat in the river , which can accommodate five people.
Equipped with a wetsuit and a helmet, you will hurtle down the river surrounded by lush nature. The experienced guides who supervise the activity offer you itineraries adapted to your level to guarantee your safety. Because the rapids will carry you away at crazy speed and at the slightest mistake, you will find yourself in the water. During the experience, a few stops are offered to allow the more daring to take dives or even take natural water slides. An experience that promises to be memorable! Especially since it is accessible to children aged 7 and over, so it can be done as a family!
Horseback riding in Grand-Etang or Plaine des Palmistes

In order to live this experience in a memorable place, we suggest you head to Great Pond, one of the rare lakes on the island, the only one of volcanic origin, located St. Benedict. Book a horseback ride and tour this magnificent body of water rich in exceptional flora and fauna, in the heart of the Réunion National Park. You will be able to enjoy the beauty of the site on the back of a canasson with the explanations of a guide, who will tell you anecdotes about this incredible lake.
Note that during periods of heavy rain, you can admire the waterfalls of Bras d'Annette which take on their most beautiful white coats. Please note that it is not necessary to have already ridden a horse to enjoy this soothing ride!
