Among the things you can program to Salazia, the Museum will not disappoint you. It is considered to house one of the 5 largest private collections in France. 2 great collectors have traveled across Africa and the Indian Ocean with their great passion: music. And they brought back in their luggage all the musical instruments of the peoples who contributed to the settlement of the island. The Music Museum presents them all, or almost! Walk in the village of Hell-Bourg
Hell-Bourg is a village as we like to imagine. Very colorful, neither too small nor too big. It is like Cilaos, when you are there, it is a feeling of another time. Despite the fact that many tourists go there, the inhabitants have managed to keep a real authenticity and not a tourist way of life. The center of the village includes several restaurants, you can taste dishes based on chouchou (chayote for some of us).
A stroll in old terms
The thermal waters of Hell-Bourg were discovered in 1830, they gave birth to thermal establishments in 1850. Their remains are still visible and give the possibility of a short walk from the village of Hell-Bourg. It is a suitable place for a family picnic.
