The Eastern Intercommunal Tourist Office, since 2012, honors the East and highlights its riches and assets.
Times are changing, needs are changing, the public's gaze today is more precise, more demanding, more focused. The East is also on its side, moving and asserting itself, maturing and assuming responsibility!
The Office could not stand still in the face of this development. It is therefore the history of the East and its Tourist Office that meet today to merge.
Lands of meaning!
For 12 years, the Office has embarked on a journey of discovery of marvels that awaken the senses. The landscapes, the flavors, the natural and musical melodies, the natural perfumes, the textures of rocks, leaves... This region promises a sensory experience that it holds. The Tourist Office has only revealed this promise to as many people as possible.
“Lands of meaning” therefore naturally becomes the definition of our lush and welcoming region.
The colors of authenticity
During all these years, we needed to be outstanding. "Our Lung" (the Eastern region) was often decried and shunned, even mocked because of what makes it its essence: the rain !
We had therefore opted for the color red as an emblem, reminiscent of the color of lava, of the fruits that our land offers us, or even of the chapels and ex-votos that dot our roads, essential markers of our corner of the island.
From now on, we have returned to our fundamentals, the green of nature.
The green ! this color is associated with nature, plants, trees, but also with harmony, life, regeneration and freshness. It is also the color used to represent health, healing and well-being… In certain cultures, this color echoes renewal, hope, luck too.
It can evoke feelings of optimism, new opportunities, and growth with a C.
Green has therefore become our flagship color, our standard color.
The healing of the soul
More than an awakening of the senses, “Lands of meaning” offers soul rejuvenation. "Our Eden" (the East region) embodies a benevolent escape in which we can reconnect with nature, refocus and regain inner balance. The preserved nature, the panoramas and the well-being activities offer a real balm for the soul sometimes tired of everyday life.
It is finally a region that makes sense! At a time when it is increasingly difficult to understand the evolution of things and of life, in the East, the landscapes, the people, and each one of us, takes HIS place and knows what he is doing. there !
In conclusion
"the coast of the winds" counts in the hearts of the women and men of the Office, counts in the hearts of Reunionese. All these years of experience promoting this part of Reunion, leads us to rethink its representation. All these years of talking about the East of Reunion make us say a sentence that comes up tirelessly: "It's on the east side of Reunion".
