Located at Saint-André, the Garden of 1001 Flavors is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful gardens on our island. It must be said that this green setting is run by Aniel, a farmer passionate about nature.

The latter offers you a pleasant stroll to discover the incredible floral and plant palette that the site houses. You will explore part of the 4 hectare estate and see, among other things, magnificent exotic flowers such as birds of paradise, orchids, porcelain roses and even spireas.

These share space with a sublime lime tree, coconut trees, maingard pineapple plants and even vanilla plants. A little extra to this visit, it ends with a tasting. Because the spice plants and tropical fruit trees grown on the farm make it possible to make good Creole dishes! This walk will awaken all your senses for a memorable experience.

The garden of the Maison Folio in Salazie

Nestled in the heart of the ancient spa resort ofHell-Bourg, the Folio house is a must to visit in Salazie. It is a charming Creole hut, carefully maintained, with a style dating from the colonial era.

A journey through time is guaranteed, not to mention that the property opens onto an exceptional Creole garden with its typical kiosk and fountain, which give an incredible character to this little corner of paradise. During this escape, which will engage all your senses, you will wander along the stone paths lined, among other things, with colorful orchids and anthuriums.

The garden is also home to aromatic plants such as geranium, vetiver, patchouli and lemongrass. Without forgetting the famous Bourbon coffee! On the 6 hectare site, you will discover around forty varieties of banana trees, which grow in the tropics producing fig, pink or even white bananas. This fruit used in many recipes will no longer hold any secrets for you.

The Vanilla Roulof Plantation in St-André

You can't come to the east of the island without being transported by the tantalizing scent of vanilla at the Roulof Plantation in St-Andre. Located near the Petit Bazar Indian temple, this vanilla grove has been managed for several generations by the Roulof family.
