Do you want to have an unforgettable time with your group of friends during your vacation in Reunion? Head to the east of the island! A 100% natural and authentic territory, this part of Reunion Island is ideal for a trip with friends. From canyoning at the Rivière des Roches to concert evenings at Bisik, including horseback riding, zoom in on our selection of fun and original activities to try with your group of friends.

01

Race down the rivers of the East to get your fill of thrills

We sometimes blame Eastern Reunion to be the rainiest region of Reunion. But it is thanks to these abundant rains that the island's rivers are a perfect playground for lovers of white water activities. All year round, you can explore these waterways in the company of experienced tourist providers, who offer aquatic outings suitable for all levels.

You can try rafting down the Rivière des Marsouins with your friends. Installed on these inflatable rafts, you can admire the landscape while testing your ability to paddle as a team.

If you are more into canyoning, go to the Rivière des Roches, which has numerous waterfalls and pools, the best known of which is the Peace Basin. You can enjoy an exceptional setting and have fun, sliding down the natural slides or jumping into the pools that line the route.

02

Play the “cowboys of the Far East”

The horses will be your ideal companions for a group outing to discover the exceptional landscapes of eastern Reunion. The area's equestrian centers offer numerous horseback rides accessible even to beginners.

You will be able to discover the natural treasures of the Plain-of-Palmistsas an pandanai, but also the cane fields of Saint-André or the Great Pond. A friendly activity to absolutely try.

Ride a horse with friends with:
François Garçonnet, from La Porte des Cascades to Plaine-des-Palmistes
Rico Nourry, from the Grand Etang equestrian center
The Ecurie Théméa teams in Saint-André

03

Enjoy a concert at Bisik with your group of friends

Who said there wasn't a place to go out East? If you want to listen to good music, go to this cultural café in Saint-Benoît. The Bisik is an original third place which aims to become a stage for the diffusion of Current Music in the East of Reunion.

It also offers a space of expression for visual artists and performing arts, in the broad sense. During the concerts, you can enjoy tapas with Creole flavors. An ideal spot to enjoy a good time with friends.

04

Ride mechanics at the Felix Guichard complex

The largest automobile circuit on the island is located in Sainte-Anne. The Felix Guichard complex is the ideal place if you and your friends are passionate about motor sports. It is possible to do solo or duo karting sessions, and even challenges during which you can challenge your dalons on the track.

The complex also offers training in sports driving and learning easydrift. The objective: to allow drivers to experience the feeling of losing control of a vehicle. Enough to get a good dose of adrenaline, but also to learn to drive like a pro on a daily basis. So, are you ready to let yourself slide on the asphalt?

05

Learn to cook good Creole dishes

If you and your friends are more of a foodie type, plan a day to learn how to cook traditional Creole dishes. And obviously, at the end of the preparation, we all sit down at the table to taste.

In addition to being a great culinary experience, the Creole cooking workshops are also a great cultural experience, which will allow you to discover the Creole art of living, but also to learn more about Péi products.

Workshops are offered all year round at La Sirandane or in Mr. Morel.

06

Compete on a paintball field

It might not seem like it, but paintball is a real sport, in addition to being a fun activity to have fun with friends. The principle is simple: equipped with all kinds of protection and armed with your marker, you must eliminate all members of the opposing team by shooting them. But to get there, you will have to hide behind inflatable structures, carry out strategic attacks, defend your teammates, roll on the ground, etc. Enough to get your cardio going while having fun.

Several providers offer to practice this activity in a breathtaking natural setting:

Paintball Salaze
Bellevue Paintball
C Did Adventures

07

Enjoy a concert in a lava tunnel

The eruptions of Piton de la Fournaise give rise to kilometers of lava tunnels that you will love to explore with friends. A large network of tunnels is located in the town of Sainte-rose, to the east of Reunion.

Underground, lit by headlamps, we discover a confusing mineral universe. Here again, there are several types of courses, whether your small group is sporty or beginner.

Even if it is possible to walk through the lava tunnels alone, it is strongly recommended to be accompanied by a guide, to avoid getting lost, but also to benefit from all your knowledge about this very special environment.

And to add an extra dose of originality, you can opt for a small group concert, during an outing “speleomusic”. An unusual place to discover, or rediscover, Reunion music.

08

Go beat a karé on a quad

Follow Steeve, a true enthusiast who will take you on an original journey, discovering the landscapes of Saint-André. Comfortably installed on one of its six quads, you can watch the landscape pass by: undergrowth, cane fields and magnificent viewpoints are on the program.

Outings with East Rando Quad are done in small groups – a maximum of 12 people (6 drivers and 6 passengers). Perfect for enjoying the ride in a good atmosphere.

09

Picnic in the Salazie cirque

Picnics in Reunion Island are sacred! The Tourist Office invites you to discover this pillar of Reunion culture through a day in the Salazie cirque. If you want a group outing without having to manage the logistics, this activity is for you.

On the program, a treasure hunt in the streets of Hell-Bourg, followed by lunch and musical entertainment on the Mare à Poule d'Eau site.

The organization of the picnic day is possible all year round, from 30 people.
