Among the trays of Salazia, There's the Water Hen Pond. So let's face it, it's a small set! but sufficient to concentrate dwellings, small shops and a chapel.

Water Hen Pond

In addition to the base of the cable car which linked the circus to the plateau of Belouve and which was used to transport the cut wood on the plateau, Mare à Poule d'Eau is best known for... its Mare-à-Poule-d'Eau!
Just before the village, by a small path that goes to the right, you reach a small footpath that climbs into the rampart. Just 5 minutes! but it's enough to reach a small plateau: the pond. If you look closer, it's actually a basin.

What is certain is that here, very close to the departmental road, you really feel away from Time and the World.

Fisherman's legends

Surrounded by bamboo and casuarina trees, and most often by anglers who have come to take their minds off things, it reflects the surrounding mountains like a mirror. The banks rise gently towards denser vegetation. The legends of the local fishermen assure that one can find in its waters … anacondas! Finally, they are the ones who say it! the eels would be so big that it must be that! Of course I'm kidding! But anglers are often known for their sense of exaggeration, right?
